Lisa Candon, DDS
A native of Charlotte, Dr. Lisa Candon is thrilled to be practicing pediatric dentistry in her hometown! She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her undergraduate studies and completed her dental training at the University of Maryland. Dr. Lisa then pursued her postdoctoral specialty training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital which is often ranked as one of the top children’s hospitals in the country! She is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. When not treating patients, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter.

Jessica Simon, DMD
Dr. Jessica Simon is from Brooklyn, New York. She always had a passion for working with children and realized in her early college years that being a pediatric dentist was her calling. Dr. Simon attended the University of Rochester and received her Bachelors of Arts in public health. While in college, she was given the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Malawi, Africa helping children in need by volunteering at a medical and dental clinic. Dr. Simon received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University. While in dental school, she received the National Health Service Corp Scholarship where she provided dental care services to underserved communities in need. After completing her dental education, Dr. Simon obtained her certificate in pediatric dentistry at Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center Northwell Health.
Dr. Simon is committed to creating a fun and supportive environment. She provides optimal dental care to children of all ages and persons with special health care needs, as she understands what they need to feel comfortable in the dental office. In her free time, Dr. Simon enjoys shopping, exercising and spending quality time with her husband, Pernell, and their two children, Jayla and Jordan.
Charles F. Cangemi, JR, DDS, MS
Dr. Charles Cangemi completed dental school at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where he received the Grover C. Hunter Jr. Award for academic and clinical excellence in periodontics. He then completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, also at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Cangemi provides anesthesiology services for general dentists, pediatric dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons and other dental specialists for a wide variety of dental, pediatric dental, maxillofacial and facial cosmetic surgical procedures.
Dr. Cangemi is a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, an American Dental Society of Anesthesiology Fellow, a member of the Anesthesia Advisory Committee and an Anesthesia Examiner for the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners, an author of publications in dental and anesthesiology journals, and an anesthesia lecturer. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Basic Life Support.
