Our Orthodontic Treatment Options

Metal Braces

Metal braces are the most traditional form of orthodontic treatment, using durable stainless steel brackets and wires to gradually move teeth into place. They are highly effective for correcting complex alignment issues and bite problems.

Clear Aligner Therapy

Clear aligner therapy uses a series of custom-made, removable plastic trays to gently shift teeth over time. This option is nearly invisible, comfortable, and allows for easier brushing and eating compared to fixed braces.

When should I schedule an orthodontic consultation for my child?

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7. At this age, we can identify early signs of alignment or bite issues, even if baby teeth are still present. Early evaluation doesn’t always mean early treatment, but it helps us monitor growth and plan the best time for care. In some cases, early intervention can guide proper jaw development and make future orthodontic treatment shorter and more effective.

Is my child a candidate for clear aligner therapy?

Clear aligner therapy can be a great option for older children and teens, especially those with mild to moderate alignment issues. To be a good candidate, your child should have most or all of their permanent teeth and be responsible enough to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day. Not all orthodontic problems can be corrected with clear aligners, so a consultation is the best way to determine the right treatment approach.
