Sealants
Sealants are another way that you can protect your child’s teeth from harmful bacteria! Teeth have fissures and pits and, if not properly cared for, can be the perfect place for bacteria to build. To prevent this, your dentist can put a sealant over your child’s teeth, which fills in the fissures and creates a smooth surface, making the teeth easier to clean and harder for bacteria to build. If your child is prone to getting cavities, we highly recommend that you consider dental sealants.
